Volleyball - Girls Var

The evening began with an inspirational move - injured Erika Hoopes, who has not played the entire season, served the first ball for Gunn. The Titans did not win the point, but the evening would be remembered for the stellar efforts of all the seniors who played with ferocious energy and determination, but in the end could not overcome Mountain View 14-25, 21-25, 23-25.

Teresa Skelly and Julia Maggioncalda shared the load for Gunn with 8 kills each. Shelly Kousnetz had 20 assists and also lead the team with 7 digs. Allison Doerpinghaus also chipped in with 4 kills.

Gunn falls to 17-22 on the season and 0-12 in league, and will await its fate at the CCS seeding meeting on Saturday. By virtue of having finished above .500 outside of league, the Titans qualify for CCS and will have to see if it has accumulated enough points for the season to make it into the post-season bracket.
